UL-Recognized refers to a product that is incomplete in construction features or limited in performance capabilities. A “Recognized” product is intended to be used as a component part of equipment that has been “listed.” A “Recognized” product must not be used by itself. A UL product may contain a number of components that have been “Recognized.”
